NA-ME is a GRP profile manufacturer in Ankara, Turkiye, pultruding structural sections for buyers across Europe. We have been manufacturing since 1982, around half of what we produce is exported, and a European site can be reached from our plant by road rather than by sea. This page is written for the person who has to source the section: what we make, how the material and the geography work in your favour, and what we need from you to price the job.
NA-ME Endustri A.S. manufactures in Baskent OSB, Ankara. The company has been on the shop floor since 1982; composite profiles are a product group built on that manufacturing background rather than a start-up line. Because export is half the business, packing for a long road journey, labelling for a foreign store and answering a European buyer’s documentation questions are ordinary parts of the working week here, not exceptions.
The production method is pultrusion: continuous glass rovings are drawn through a resin bath and cured as they pass through a heated die at a constant pull speed. The section that comes off the line is constant from the first metre to the last. That is the property an engineering calculation depends on, and it is why a pultruded profile can be specified with confidence in a way a hand-laminated one cannot.
Alongside profiles we manufacture composite grating, manhole covers and poles, so a project that needs a walkway, its edge trim and its handrail posts can be sourced from one plant and shipped on one truck.
For a glass-fibre profile, any of those names in your specification is correct and we will read it the same way. Where the family boundaries actually sit, and why CFRP is not GRP, is set out on GRP vs FRP.
The material argument for GRP is the same everywhere: it does not rust or rot, it weighs roughly a quarter of what steel does, it is electrically non-conductive, its thermal conductivity is low, and it stands up to UV, weather and chemical attack. It is also a directional material — strong along its length, weaker across it, with a low to medium modulus of elasticity, which means deflection rather than strength usually governs the design. None of that is specific to us.
What is specific to a Turkish supplier is the geography and the trade arrangement sitting behind it.

Two things are worth reading carefully in that table. The first is the transit figure. Three to seven days by road is the window our EU shipments fall into; Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and France all sit inside it. We quote it as a single window on purpose, because the honest variable is not the destination country so much as the loading date, the border crossing on the day and the delivery address at the far end. A supplier who hands you a different published figure per country is describing a data set that does not really exist.
The second is duty. Under the EU–Turkey Customs Union, industrial goods in free circulation move between Turkiye and the EU without customs duty. In practice that means your landed cost does not carry a tariff line the way it does on the same profile shipped from outside the customs area. Your own import VAT and clearance handling still apply as normal — this is about customs duty, not about the rest of your import cost.
The third advantage does not fit in a table. We are flexible on order size and on mixed loads. A part-load of four different sections, or a small first order to prove the section on site before the main release, is a normal part of our export work rather than an awkward exception. Most European buyers of pultruded profile are choosing between a supplier inside or near the customs area and a container from the Far East. Both routes are real and both win on something. Comparing them on the unit price of a metre of profile alone will mislead you; comparing them on landed cost and on delivery time is the comparison that decides projects.

Read the first row honestly, because it is the row that decides whether the rest matter. If your project is one section, in one colour, in full-container quantity, with a delivery date months out, a Far East quotation may well come in under ours per metre. Where our route earns its money is everywhere else: when the schedule is tight, when the order is mixed, when the specification is still moving, or when the difference between a four-day and a forty-day replacement decides whether a plant restarts on time.

The section is only one of three decisions. The resin system follows from the environment the profile will live in, and the surface veil follows from UV exposure and any fire behaviour your specification asks about. On site those three arrive as one decision, so it is worth settling them together at the enquiry stage rather than one at a time.
Export enquiries often start with a section that is not in anybody’s catalogue: a lipped carrier, a snap-fit cover section, a rail with a twin web, a profile that has to mate with an existing metal part still on site. Because we open dies for our own production, a custom section is a route we can quote rather than a request we have to turn away.
The process runs in the same order every time:
A new die carries a cost and a lead time of its own, so custom sections make sense above a certain quantity. Send the drawing and the annual volume you expect and we will tell you honestly whether a die is worth opening or whether a standard section with a small design change will serve you better.
Our management systems are certified to ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety). The ISO 9001 scope is worth reading if you are qualifying us as a supplier, because it covers more than manufacturing alone: it names the design, development and manufacturing of composite (GRP/FRP/GFK/polymer) products, together with steel and stainless steel construction design and manufacturing. In other words, the custom die route described above sits inside the certified scope rather than outside it. Copies of the certificates go out with the quotation on request.
What we check at each stage of the line — raw material intake, resin preparation, line set-up, section and surface inspection, length cutting, packing and batch traceability — is set out in full, along with a plain statement of what we do and do not claim about product standards, on quality, standards and testing. If your specification quotes EN 13706, ASTM test methods or a reaction-to-fire class, read that page first and then send us the clause; it explains what each of those documents actually measures and how to word the requirement so that both sides mean the same thing.
Europe is where our trucks go, but we quote North America as well. The same pultrusion line, the same standard families and the same custom die capability are available to a buyer in the United States or Canada; what changes is the freight mode and the planning horizon, and both of those go on the quotation rather than being left to be discovered later. If you are sourcing fiberglass structural shapes for a North American site, send the section and the destination port or city and we will price it on that basis.

Road transit from Ankara to EU member states falls in a 3–7 day window; Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and France all sit inside it. That is transit time, not total lead time — production time for your sections comes first and is confirmed on the quotation. If a section is already in stock, the road window is effectively the whole story.

Yes. Send a dimensioned sketch, a DXF or a sample length. We will check that the geometry can be pulled, tell you what a die means for lead time and quantity, and produce a first article for your approval before the main run.
